Moments ago, the U.S. Treasury Department issued Russia-Related General License 134 “Authorizing the Delivery and Sale of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products of Russian Federation Origin Loaded on Vessels as of March 12, 2026”
The license allows for the sale of Russian crude oil products loaded on ships as of March 12, 2026. The duration of the license is only for one month, until April 11, 2026.
The lift of sanctions follows reports from earlier in the week that the Trump Administration was considering lifting oil sanctions against Russia.
