BREAKING: PENTAGON ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION OF MILITARY AID TO UKRAINE
PRESIDENT TRUMP'S STATEMENTS ABOUT UKRAINE AID AT WHITE HOUSE DINNER APPEAR TO HAVE CHANGED THE PENTAGON'S MIND
At 10:43 p.m. Monday, the Pentagon issued a press release announcing the resumption of U.S. military aid to Ukraine. According to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell, “At President Trump's direction, the Department of Defense is sending additional defensive weapons to Ukraine to ensure the Ukrainians can defend themselves while we work to secure a lasting peace and ensure the killing stops.”
Earlier in the evening, during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump told pool reporters: “We're going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves.”
Later Monday night, the Pentagon responded with the press release stating that defensive weapons were going to be made available to Ukraine.
